2016 WEEK 02.

A brighter cold start to the day but with no wind not the best for photographing Red Kites, these were taken at Swyncombe.

This Kestrel was perched outside Swyncombe Church.
This monument was built in 1948 by Jack Sharp, an American serviceman who was billeted in a camp at Nettlebed along with 2,000 other GIs during the the Second World War.
The camp was later taken over and used by Polish refugees before being demolished in the late Forties

Duckingham Palace on Widmore Pond. It used to be in centre of pond giving a safe haven for ducks from foxes.

2016 WEEK 01

The start of a New Year but not seasonal weather, surely the rain has to stop soon.
A chance to dust off the camera equipment with a visit to Brancaster Staithe.

A trip to the BBOWT's Warburg Trust provided a few bird images from the two hides,
Pond Hide very quiet with just the Robin and a pair of Bullfinches.

Small hide near reception was a lot busier with the feeders.
