Red Kite (Milvus milvus)

In the early 1930s, only two breeding pairs of red kites were known to survive in the British Isles, both in central Wales. Red kites were re-introduced to the Oxfordshire part of the Chilterns over 20 years ago, the Chilterns has many Red Kites, especially near Henley-on-Thames and Watlington, where they were introduced on John Paul Getty's estate.
